Theia

Here I have painted the earth as a nascent volcanic planet and the cosmos as a falling creation goddess. It is partly a reaction to the amazing images coming back from the Bell telescope. As we search for the beginning of creation we are instead faced with the concept and magnitude of infinity. It is named Theia after the theory of a sister planet crashing into the earth, tilting us on our current axis, and her fragments becoming our moon.
